BranchBound provides AI-powered interactive storytelling. You experience stories by selecting from predefined choices in the interface; the system then generates scenes and narrative content from those selections. You do not submit free-form prompts that directly control generation. To keep the platform safe and responsible, everyone must follow this Content Policy.

This policy applies to your choices and selections, all AI-generated story content produced through the Service, and how you use account features that may be visible to others (such as your username).

Some features let you mark a story session as public. When a session is public, parts of your playthrough may be discoverable or viewable by other users in line with how the product works. You must not use public sessions to expose others to prohibited content, and you remain responsible for what you make visible.

The Service is not intended for users under 13. You must meet the minimum age in our Terms of Service. Fiction that is public or shared should be appropriate for a general audience on the platform.

Allowed Uses

BranchBound is intended for creative, educational, and entertainment purposes. Users may experience stories such as:

  • Interactive fiction and narratives
  • Choice-driven adventures and branching storylines
  • Character-driven story experiences
  • Educational or exploratory narratives
  • Personal creative exploration

If you enable public visibility on a story session or otherwise share a playthrough, you agree that what others can see will comply with this policy and applicable law.

Users are responsible for ensuring their use of generated story content complies with applicable laws and regulations.

Prohibited Content

You may not use BranchBound to select choices that lead to, request, or distribute content that includes:

Illegal Content

  • Content that violates local, national, or international laws
  • Depictions of illegal activities
  • Fraudulent or deceptive content

Harassment and Hate

  • Hate speech or content targeting protected groups
  • Harassment, threats, or abusive material
  • Content intended to intimidate or harm individuals or communities

Explicit or Adult Content

  • Pornographic or sexually explicit material
  • Sexual exploitation or abusive content
  • Content involving minors in sexual or suggestive contexts
  • Non-consensual intimate depictions of real or identifiable people, including synthetic or AI-assisted imagery

Impersonation

  • Content intended to impersonate real individuals without permission
  • Misleading content designed to deceive others
  • Non-consensual depictions of identifiable people

Violence and Abuse

  • Graphic violence or gore
  • Content that promotes harm or abuse toward people or animals

Dangerous or Unlawful Instructions

  • Content that instructs or facilitates serious crimes, terrorism, or mass harm
  • Instructions for manufacturing illegal weapons, explosives, or regulated dangerous substances
  • Malware, ransomware, or material that facilitates unauthorized access to systems or data

Self-Harm and Suicide

  • Content that encourages, glorifies, or provides instructions for self-harm or suicide

Privacy and Personal Data

  • Soliciting, publishing, or threatening to publish someone else's private or sensitive personal information without authorization
  • Using the Service to obtain, expose, or spread confidential information you are not permitted to share

Intellectual Property Violations

  • Generating story content intended to copy copyrighted works or protected characters
  • Using the Service to replicate recognizable copyrighted narratives or trademarks for commercial misuse

AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Stories generated through BranchBound are produced by artificial intelligence systems based on the choices you make in the interface.

Because of the nature of AI:

  • Outputs may be inaccurate, distorted, or unexpected
  • Generated stories may resemble existing works or individuals
  • Results may not always be appropriate for all audiences

BranchBound does not guarantee that generated story content is original or free from intellectual property conflicts.

Users are responsible for reviewing generated content before making a session public, sharing a playthrough, or using outputs commercially.

Enforcement

BranchBound may take action against accounts that violate this Content Policy, including:

  • Removing generated content or restricting access to sessions and timelines
  • Blocking or restricting choices
  • Disabling public visibility or other sharing-related features for affected sessions
  • Temporarily suspending accounts
  • Permanently banning users from the platform

We reserve the right to moderate content at our discretion to protect the safety and integrity of the Service.
