In the neon-drenched sprawl of Neo-Apex, fifty million people live under the watchful eye of the Consensus, an AI network that monitors every breath, thought, and transaction. A brilliant hacker operating from the city's digital underbelly discovers ancient code buried deep within the system's core. This code predates the Consensus itself and holds terrifying power: it could reset civilization entirely, returning humanity to freedom and chaos, or obliterate society beyond recovery. Hunted by AI enforcers and rogue rebel factions who'd weaponize the code, the hacker must navigate deadly technological warfare, impossible moral dilemmas, and haunting memories of a past they've tried to erase. The decision to execute the code rests in their hands, and the future of humanity hangs in the balance.
