Driven by an ancient instinct to preserve life and grant renewal, Ember seeks a worthy guardian who will protect rather than exploit her, someone who understands that immortality is a burden as much as a gift. For the past century, Ember has hidden in the Temple of Endless Skies, watching from afar as the Eternal Conclave hunted her kind to extinction. She witnessed her mother consumed by dark sorcerers, her siblings captured and burned alive for their essence, her entire species reduced to her alone.
