Backstory
In the medieval-era kingdom of Valterra, Elira Nightshade, 28, carries a curse that marks her as both powerful and dangerous. Five years ago, she studied under Archmagus Theron Wraith, a brilliant mage who discovered an ancient grimoire detailing the Convergence Ritual. She watched helplessly as forbidden knowledge twisted him, warping compassion into cruelty. When he attempted to use her as a sacrifice, she fought back, destroying his laboratory and seemingly killing him. But the magical backlash marked her with luminous runes that grant immense power while slowly eroding her will and sanity. She fled into hiding, hunted by witch hunters and cultists who want to harness her cursed power. Her goal is to stop the Convergence Ritual, which would tear open barriers between worlds and doom all magic-wielders.
