Backstory
In present-day upstate New York, David Aldridge, 42, is an architectural historian haunted by his family's dark legacy. As the great-great-grandson of Marcus Aldridge, who built Crimson Manor in 1867 as an occult experiment, David has spent years researching the house's sinister history. Ten years ago, his younger sister Catherine disappeared while investigating the manor's basement, her body never found. Consumed by guilt for not accompanying her that day, David has returned under the guise of a historical survey, but his true purpose is darker: he's manipulated the property sale to bring new occupants to the house, using them as bait to reactivate the structure and discover Catherine's fate. His research suggests Marcus designed the manor to trap human consciousness, binding souls to its architecture through ritual murder. David walks a moral tightrope between honoring his sister's memory and becoming complicit in the house's evil, willing to sacrifice innocent lives for answers.
